Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

There are several locally-owned and well-loved establishments in Highlands Ranch. Each brings something special and unique to the table. Old Blinking Light Kitchen and Cocktails has called Highlands Ranch home for over ten years and values the community deeply. They put a significant emphasis on how they can give back to the community through various charities, including silent auctions and toy drives to deliver gifts to Children's Hospital. Their menu focuses on seasonal dishes influenced by their southwestern background.

Los Dos Potrillos is a family-owned restaurant serving traditional Mexican food with the perfect family-friendly, small business feel. While they do own a few locations across the Denver Metropolitan area, the hard work of one family and the love and consideration for their community and employees has led this to be one of the area's best dining experiences. Haveli Indian Cuisine is a fantastic experience all around. They offer healthy, high-quality Nepal and Delhi dishes full of flavors right to your table and the service is some of the best around.

Hacienda Colorado serves Colorado-inspired Mexican food. Each dish is carefully crafted to bring out the best in every flavor. They also have a chocolate pinata, stuffed with fresh-cut fruit and churros. That is certainly enough to bring you back time after time! If that’s not enough, Hacienda Colorado boasts family-friendly indoor and outdoor seating for groups of any size and a menu to satisfy any palate.

The city hosts the Highlands Ranch Farmers’ Market. This lovely open-air market takes place every Sunday from May through October at the Highlands Ranch Town Center. Its vendors offer a broad range of items, including fresh produce, artisan goods, and one-of-a-kind treasures. For shopping enthusiasts, Highlands Ranch Town Center is also an outdoor mall so you can get shopping done while exploring the market’s vendors.

Things to Do in Castle Rock

Highlands Ranch offers many activities for residents. Not only are there miles and miles of parks, trails, and open wildlife spaces to explore, but there are also four state-of-the-art recreation centers. Northridge, Southridge, Eastridge, and Westridge Recreation Centers all provide top-rated fields, gyms, and water parks for those that live inside its communities. While they all have differences that set them apart — like Westridge’s indoor lacrosse and soccer turfs or Northridge's 10 racquetball courts and aqua climbing wall — they all share many accommodations as well. Pools, gyms, outdoor fields, and many options for youth camps and programs are available at each state-of-the-art center.

Another outdoor recreation option is Highland Ranch’s two beautiful golf courses. The Links Golf Course and University of Denver Golf Club at Highlands Ranch both sport immaculate 18-hole courses and member amenities like one-on-one lessons, pro shops, and a grill to enjoy the company of your party on or off the course.

Highlands Ranch Summer Concert Series, hosted at the Highlands Heritage Regional Park, includes eight concerts over the summer. This event is open to the community and aims at bringing everyone together to rock the night away. There are vendors for food and drink so you can skip making dinner and enjoy the evening stress-free.
